Here at Fairyhill Nursing Home we believe it is very important to keep our residents mentally and physically stimulated always.
We have a full-time activities coordinator who spends time with our residents individually and in groups. Our dedicated and highly trained staff members will help our residents with all their day to day activities.
We are accredited by the HSE NHI HIQA
Fairy hill nursing home serves our residents fresh foods prepared by our qualified and experienced chefs. All the ingredients that we use for our kitchen are from our local suppliers.
We will provide a menu for the residents with at least two options of
main course. Residents will be requested to fill the menu on each
day by the staff member, for the following day.
MEAL TIMES
Breakfast – 7.30 to 9 am
Tea and Snack – from 10 am
Lunch – 12.30 to 1.30
Drinks tea or snack – 3 pm
Supper – 4.30 to 6.00 pm
Tea and snacks – 7.30 pm
These times can vary according to our resident convenience and we have snacks and sandwiches available 24 hours.
Our chefs are informed about special diets and textures of food for
each resident and a resident’s diet book will be maintained in the
kitchen, and will be reviewed by a speech and language therapist.
Each of our resident rooms and both day rooms are fully equipped with a nurse call system, electric beds, spacious wardrobes and LED televisions.
Our shower rooms are very spacious and are wheel chair accessible.
We provide daily newspapers for our residents and a reading session in the morning by staff members and we have a large collection of books for residents who like to read.
Radio stations are played throughout the nursing home during the day
We understand the importance of family and spending precious time with loved ones. With this in mind we provide the facility for our residents to dine with their family members in the nursing home, on occasions and with prior notice. We are happy to provide our fresh homemade meals.
Fairyhill Nursing Home is open for visitors every day from 9am to 10pm.
